The Couple
Annie and Chris were introduced in high school by mutual friend Rebecca Mandell. They reconnected at WWU when Rebecca asked Chris to look after and ensure Annie adjusted well to college life. Needless to say he did. Chris was originally drawn to Annie’s smile, thoughtfulness, family values and access to Western’s cafeteria. Annie loved Chris’s dance moves, generosity, friendliness, and access to a vehicle for respite from campus life. The length of their courtship and engagement and the often long distance between them has helped strengthen their relationship.
